Movie of the Week..........

"The Spook Who Sat by the Door"
(1973)

After a few J's one night, me and my ace Nate Buttaz decide to go grab some movies and some vinyl. Quick trip to P-Town, and we landed in Broadway Music. Dude who owns the store is an OG, so he's got a gang of records and a gang of 70's blaxploitation. My kinda store. After a brief breeze through, I stumble on to this. The movie is based on a book by Sam Greenlee of the same title. It is about a black man who becomes the first token black enlisted in CIA. After mastering espionage tactics and CIA field training, he leaves the agency and goes back home to Chicago to train the inner city youth to be Freedom Fighters, using the same regiment that the CIA used to train him. If you know anything about 70's blaxploitation, then you know it is racially charged and brutally honest. That's what makes them so great. This one actually has good cinematography, effects, and acting. Check it out if you can find it. It might be easier to order online than trying to find it a store.
